We are excited to introduce the inaugural Greenpeace Canada Education Fund (GCEF) Impact Report, which provides an overview of our development in 2021.

The report showcases how supporters like you have spearheaded the development and growth of our young charity in the last year as we kickstart our initial programming to support innovative and engaging environmental research and education across Canada.

In 2021, despite the ongoing pandemic, we made significant progress defining our mandate, engaging our key supporters, and developing our initial program offerings. We also sought to define our vision and values: prioritizing the needs of marginalized communities, including those most affected by climate change; developing partnerships with local collaborators and the Greenpeace movement, and being driven by a justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and safety framework in all aspects of our work. You’ll find more information on all of our progress in the report and on the rest of our website.

We invite you to explore the report and greatly welcome your feedback and suggestions as we continue to develop our vision and mandate.

On behalf of the team at GCEF, I invite your support as we invest in meaningful research and educational opportunities that advance our collective understanding of climate degradation and help develop effective solutions. We’ve reached some significant milestones in 2022, and look forward to providing you with an update at the end of this year.
